He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Sprott and Mary Sprott (Neilson); his wife Loretta Sprott (Smith); his son Patrick Sprott; his siblings, Guy Sprott, Martin Sprott, Claude Sprott, Ina Robinson and Jean Armstrong; and his sisters-in-law, Shirley and Jean.

He is survived by: his son Johnny Sprott (Cindy) of Sussex; his sister Neva Whittaker (Allan) of Alberta; his grandson Luke Cook; and his great grandchild Carcella Surette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
