He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Schiedel and Edna Schiedel (Schmitt); his brothers-in-law, Don Cober and Karl Hoover; his nephew Colin Schiedel; and his grandson David Schiedel.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Schiedel (Hoover); his children, Deb Schiedel Lapp, Jim Lapp of Winnipeg, Bob Schiedel, Lisa Schiedel of Hopeville, Jamie Schiedel, Roberta Schiedel of Sussex, Wendy Graham and Trent Graham of Elmira; his grandchildren, Kati Lapp (Chris Kozaczka), Emily Lapp (Mark Pili), Kristen Schiedel, Scott Schiedel (Jessica Samson), Melissa, Ben, Mark Schiedel, Eric, Lucas Schiedel, Erin and Connor Graham; and his siblings, Wayne (Ruth Schiedel), Miriam (Albert Ellis), Jim (Lynne Schiedel), John (Sandra Schiedel), Kathleen Cober, Yvonne (Laverne Housser), Barb Hoover, Luella Hoover, Bruce (Ruth Hoover), David (Sherilyn Hoover) and Richard (Patricia Hoover). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
