He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Ruby Smith (Green); and his siblings, Doug, June and Evelyn.
He is survived by: his children, Bobby Smith of Halifax, NS, Carl Smith (Cathy) of Salisbury, NB, Lisa Darrah of Dartmouth, NS and Sheri Smith of Sussex, NB; his grandchildren, Amber, Emily, Logan, Erica, Keri, Amy, Brandon and Cody; his siblings, Donald Smith of Coles Island, Robert Smith of Minto, NB, Gary Smith of Minto, NB and Wonita McPhee of Minto; and his close friend Judy Edwards. He is also survived by his eight great-grandchildren.
