He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Mercer and Mary Mercer (McLong); his daughter-in-law Tammy Mercer; and his siblings, Eric Mercer and Ruby Mercer.
He is survived by: his wife Adelia Mercer (Coates); his children, Randy Mercer (Amber Parlee) of Berwick, NB and Beth Ann Mercer (Shawn Lester) of Plumweseep, NB; his sister Pauline Parlee (Walter); his granddaughter Tabitha Mercer; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Sage, Colter, Aston and Michael; his great grandchildren, Skylar, Alayna and Nathan; and his pet Goliath. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
