We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2023, at the age of 78, Margaret Smith (Sussex, New Brunswick) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parent Sidney Coates; her husband Fred Smith; and her son Gerald Nash. She is survived by: her mother Emily Coates (Head); her children, Tamara Smith-Wilson (Daniel) of Sussex, Susan Thompson, Richard Prosser of Parkindale, Barbara Nash of Toronto and Keith Nash; her siblings, Irene McGrath (Sherman), Isabel Ripley (Robert), Hazel Cleaveland, Wanda Coates (Sheldon), Dorothy LeDrew, Ivonne Leyte (Arthur), Dulice Alffee (Dwight), Caroline Steeves (Harry), Robert Coates (Bonnie), Herbert Coates, Raymond Coates (Susan), Everett Coates (Debbie), Derek Coates (Sadie) and Phillip Coates (Trudy); and her grandchildren, Wayne McAllister, Justin Smith-Wilson, Joshua Smith-Wilson, Jayden Smith-Wilson, Brandon Thompson, Marcus Nash, Martin Nash, Martina Nash and Katie Nash.
