He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Short and Meta Short (Weir); and his brother Raymond Short. He is survived by: his children, Jessica Neilson (Brody) and Zachary Short; his siblings, Dean Short of Corner Brook, NL, Sherry Russell (Paul) of Roberts Arm, NL and Allison Short (Donald) of Roberts Arm, NL; his sister-in-law Jewel Short of Sussex, NB; his nieces and nephews, Chad Short, Chris Short, Jeremy Russell, Megan Sheppard and Madison Short; and his stepmother Alice.
