He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon Hayes and Helen Hayes (Cosman); his close friends, Roger Mason and Eric Brown; and his brothers, Lawrence Hayes, Nelson Hayes and Donald Hayes.
He is survived by: his children, Stacey (Sean O'Hara), Shannon (David Dawe) and Elwyn (Amy Stewart); the mother of his children Patsy; his grandchildren, Jake (Hilary Pond), Hudson, Cullen and Abby Hayes; his sisters, Carol Murray (Carl), Faye Smith and Linda Bulmer; his sisters-in-law, Carole Hayes and Shirley Hayes; and his close friends, Raleigh, Betty Myers, Floyd, Evelyn Mason and Linda. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wallace Community Chapel (34 Sunnyside Dr, Sussex, NB E4E5L8).
