He was predeceased by: his parents, Naida Sands Fisher (Rankin) and George Lewis Sands; his father-in-law Murray McMann; his sister Linda Sands; and his siblings-in-law, Gloria Morrison, Bob and Earle McMann.
He is survived by: his wife Verna; his son Mark; his brother George Sands; his sister-in-law Lois Bunnell; his nieces and nephews, Ronda (Bobby Proctor), Rona (Michael Kyle), Ronnie Morrison, Randy Morrison (Karen McMillan), Barry (Susan McMann), Sherri (Dan Hourihan) and Pat (Gary Brett); and also, Kathryn Bridgeman, Carole, Walter Dainard and Christopher Kelter.
Due to Covid-19 a memorial service will be held at a later date.
