He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcia Kitchen and Elwood Kitchen; and his siblings, Ron, Willard, Bobby, Wayne and Marlene.

He is survived by: his wife Gertrude; his children, Beth Dubrule (Clem) of Edmonton, Stephen Kitchen (June) of Saskatoon and Tim Kitchen (Rachel) of Calgary; his grandchildren, Carolyn Giroux (Leo, Karra Krywko), Stephanie Christensen (Nick, Brandon Dubrule), Mikayla Kitchen, Jordan Kitchen, Benjamin Kitchen and Ella Kitchen; and his great grandchildren, Brooke, Callie, Morgan and Emmett. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
