He was predeceased by: his parents, George Chestnut and Elizabeth Chestnut; his brother John; and his sister-in-law Joan. He is survived by: his son Arnold Chestnut of Fredericton; his siblings, Stewart Chestnut (Susan) of Southfield, Leo Chestnut (Linda) of Fergus, ON, Harold Chestnut of Whitehorse, YK, Laverne Leblanc (Ralph) of Nackawic and Lorraine Kierstead (Randy) of Moncton; his grandchildren, Lynn Lamey, Christopher Doucette, Helena Paton, Macaela Chestnut and Kaedan Chestnut; and his great grandchildren, Emily Doucette, Hannah Doucette and Malachi Chestnut.
Due to COVID-19 the funeral service will be held privately.
