He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ward and Jane Ward (Simon); his siblings, Christine, Irene, Veronica, Rosie, Mary, Albert, Frank and Norman; and his son-in-law Ken Black.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ward (Francis) of Metepenagiag, NB; his children, Mary Francine Francis of Metepenagiag, NB, Jennifer Rose Black of Metepenagiag, NB and Wilfred Christopher Ward (Heather Peterson) of Metepenagiag, NB; his brothers, Percy Ward (Lorraine) of Natoaganeg, NB and Ricky Ward (Abby) of Elsipogtog, NB.; and his stepmother Dorothy Ward of Metepenagiag, NB..

Due to Covid 19, A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank on Thursday, March 4th with Father Dan Melanson officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, in Wilfred's memory, donations may be made to the Diabetic Association or Alzheimer's Society.
