He was predeceased by: his parent Peter Allison; his daughter Barbara McAllister; his siblings, Betty, Ernie and Frankie; and his grandson Aiden.

He is survived by: his spouse Edith Allison (Matchett) of Sunny Corner, NB; his parent Cora Allison; his sons, Scott of Sunny Corner and Rusty (Cheryl) of Miramichi, NB; his sister Gertrude Matheson of Newcastle, ON; his grandsons, Sterling, Danny and Scottie; and his great grandchildren, Jacob and Charlie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In Sterling's memory a donation may be made to Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, NB Lung Association or a memorial of one's choice.
