He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Hare and Nina Parker (Harris); and his siblings, Arlene Mullin, Frankie and Delbert.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hare of Sunny Corner; his children, Derrick (Laura) of Lyttleton, Stephen (Kathie) of Exmoor, Judy (Andrew Lavergne) of Waterville, NS and Lori Anne (Kevin Russell) of South Esk; his siblings, Kathleen Henderson of Sunny Corner, Judith Butler (Edward) of Sunny Corner, Mark (Donna) of Blenheim, ON, Stephen of Blenheim, ON and Timmy of Blenheim, ON; his grandchildren, Jordan (Kristen), Ashley (Daniel), Mitchell (Jerika), Devin, Ryan (Ali), Michael (Bree), Sarah and Joshua; and his great grandchildren, Jude, Sadie, Lincoln, Noah, Elijah, Brooks and Ivy Mae. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
