With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara R. Tompkins of Stickney, New Brunswick, who passed away on June 5, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Laing (Simpson) and Gordon Laing; her husband Howard; and her son Malcolm. She is survived by: her children, Jean Martell (Andrew) and Clayton (Judy); her grandchildren, Tim Martell, Duncan Martell, Heidi Helbrecht, Heather Russo, Nathan Tompkins, Troy Tompkins, Cassandra McParlan, Kimberly Inglis and Matthew Tompkins; and her sister Jennie Giberson. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, a private interment service has taken place and a memorial service will be held later.

If desired, donations in her memory may be made to Hunter's Cemetery or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or a charity of your choosing.

“Jean and Clayton; so sorry to hear of Aunt Barbara's death. I have fond memories of her, either seeing her at Grammy Laing's or at the Dairy Bar. It was a summer treat to go have an ice cream following a visit at Grammy Laing's. Usually your mom would be at the window serving the customers. She lived a great life and it is sad to know that she is our last remaining aunt on the Laing side. My sympathies to you and your families. Be blessed this day. Holly (Giberson) Saunders”
