He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Burns (Dunphy); his parents, Leo Francis and Elsie Burns (Taylor); his son Billy Burns; and his sister Elsie.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Burns (Jana) of Cornwall, PEI and John Burns (Monette) of Fredericton; and his grandchildren, Molly Burns, Elianna Burns and Owen Burns. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Hillcrest United Cemetery (139 Graveyard Hill, Stanley, NB E6B1T9).
