He was predeceased by: his wife Dawn Dorcas; his parents, Earl Dorcas and Pearl Dorcas (Fullarton); and his siblings, Pauline Brooks, Royce and Chester Dorcas.

He is survived by: his children, Geraldine Harris (Wendell) of Tracy, NB and Brett Dorcas (Linda) of Nasonworth, NB; his grandchildren, Melanie (Michael), Nathen, Mitchell (Dominique) and Brad; his great grandchildren, Gracie Harris and Isabelle Dorcas; his brother Glenwood Dorcas of Stanley, NB; and his close friend Erna Scribner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
