He was predeceased by: his parents, Hedley McIntyre and Irene McIntyre (Rushton); his daughter Rhonda; his grandson Darren Thompson; and his siblings, Samuel, Hazen, Lawrence, Norman McIntyre, Evie Walsh, Rita Smith, Elsie Godbout, Jean Bell and Kathleen Walton.

He is survived by: his significant other Lorraine McIntyre (Thibeau); his children, Sheila Thompson (Allen) of Harvey, NB., Anna DeMerchant (Andy) of McAdam, NB., Dennis McIntyre (Krista) of McAdam, NB. and Greg McIntyre (Kim) of Fredericton, NB.; his caregiver Theresa McIntyre of McAdam, NB.; his granddaughter Heidi; his siblings, Harold McIntyre, Jackie McIntyre (Rose), Edna Cleghorn (Raymond) and Betty Donahue; and his sister-in-law Marie McIntyre. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren.
