He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara; and his son John. He is survived by: his daughter Joan Merrill (Jack); his grandchildren, Shane MacDonald (Kim), Tana Sullivan (Heather), Christie Whittier (Trevor), Lee Whittier, David Whittier and Susie Wood; and his great grandchildren, Ethan MacDonald, Karlee MacDonald, Mateo Hermann, Sebastian Sullivan, Jenna Stewart and Aidan Stewart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
