He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Ross and Agnes Ross (Smith); his siblings, Jack Ross (Edna), Jim Ross (Mikki), George Ross (Myrna), Ilene and Patricia Ross; his brother-in-law Doug D'Eon (Amelia Ross); and his son Philip Ross Jr. (Charlie).

He is survived by: his wife Amelia; his daughter Agnes Ross; his granddaughters, Rebecca (Andrew) and Katherine; and his sister Marie D'Eon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of Philip's life will be held a later date.
