He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Mitchell and Tina Mitchell; his close friend Sandra Libby; his siblings, Greyson Mitchell and Marion Breton (Edmund Breton); and his nephew Michael Breton.

He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Mitchell and Francis Mitchell (April); his grandchildren, Allison (Callum), Krysten (Keith), Richard, Jack, Belle and Revay "The Baby"; his siblings, James Mitchell and Evelyn Huntley; his stepchildren, Sharon Savage, Crystal Kent, Sherry "Angel" Casey and Timothy Libby; and his stepgrandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Adam Libby, Gary, Alisha, Jeremy Roberts, Miranda, Jon Smith, Jocelyn Curran, Amber Leavitt, Megan Roy, Sean Kent and Nicole Duchesneau. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
