He was predeceased by: his brother Edward "Teddy" LaPorte. He is survived by: his parents, Sylvia LaPorte and Edward "Ted" LaPorte; his daughter Robyn LaPorte; his nephews, Greg, Mike and Nicholas (Naomi); and his niece Sarah. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
