He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Holmes and Ethel Holmes (Beckerton); his former wife Lorraine Holmes (Frost); his daughter Theresa Bryant; his brother LeRoy Holmes; and his son-in-law Kevin Barnard.

He is survived by: his wife Linda (Johnston); his son-in-law David Bryant of Fredericton, NB.; his grandchildren, Lacey Holmes, James, Keri, Josh Barnard, Eric and Alison Higgins; his brother John Holmes (Janice); and his stepchildren, John Hatt and Leanne Hatt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
