She was predeceased by: her husband Norman V. Poitras; her parents, James "Jim" and Edmée (Cyr); and her siblings, Léo, Normand, Thérèse, Germaine, Rachel, Patrick and Andréa.

She is survived by: her daughters, Theresa (Raymond), Thériault of Saint-Leonard, Cécile Poitras of St-Alphonse, Diane Poitras of Charlemagne and Deborah Jacques (Guy) of Dieppe, NB; her grandchildren, Mychèle, Karoline, Pierre-Luc, Leenah and Maryse; her great grandchildren, Benjamin, Lilyrose, Ekim, Matteo and Annabelle; and her siblings, Adrienne, Donata, Réginald, Réal, Jean-Marie, Jacques, Guy and Jacqueline. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
