It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Whitfield Kernighan (St George, New Brunswick), who passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Kernighan and Florence Kernighan (Steen); his wife Lorena Kernighan (Hooper); his daughters, Tabatha and Florence; and his brother James.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Beth Kernighan of St. George, NB; his grandchildren, Quintin Leavitt (Jenna Maillet) of Blacks Harbour, NB, Natalie (Chris) of St. George, NB, Goguen of St. George, NB, Tristin Cooke of St. George, NB and Savannah Kernighan of St. George, NB; and his siblings, Michael Kernighan (Rhoda), Anna Thorne (Clyde) of Canal, NB, Jessie, Donna Justason (Peter) of Pennfield, NB, Susan Savoie (Andre) of Bethel, NB and Sarah Baker (Wayne) of Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In George's memory, donations to the NB Heart &, Stroke Foundation or to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated, by the family.
