He is survived by: his son Kevin Gallagher; his grandchildren, Julie Richard (Frankie), Jenn Gallagher (Jakob Skodje) and Ryan Gallagher; his great grandchildren, Gia Richard and Banks Skodje; and his sister Elinor Metcalfe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
