Stanley John Smith Obituary

We bid farewell to Stanley John Smith (St George, New Brunswick), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 21, 2025 at the age of 79. Stanley John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Sr. Smith and Nora Smith (Thibault); and his siblings, Wallace and Eleanor. He is survived by: his wife Sybil Smith (Clinch); his daughters, Deborah Smith of St. George, Gail Smith (Luke) of Utopia and Lisa Cheney (Darren) of Pennfield; his grandchildren, Rachel (David), Michael (Meghan), Jeffrey (Aimee), Jolene (Chris), Amanda (Loren), Laura (Zack), Matthew (Haley) and Mackenzie; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Simon, Ava, Norah, Olivia, Elijah, Vada, Chelsea (Austin), Ainsley, Destiny (Evan), Zackery and Sawyer; and his great great grandchild Nickson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. Mark's Anglican Church (28 Main St, Saint George, NB E5C3J2). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
