She was predeceased by: her husband Archie N. Berriault; her parents, Harry Gillis and W. "Loretta" Gillis (Cunningham); and her son Joseph. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Ingram, Chester Berriault (Eileen), Marsha Albert, Eric Berriault, Merriam Logan, Lucille Harmon (David), Judy Harmon (James), Hope Storey (Wayne) and Simon Berriault; and her siblings, Allan Gillis, Grace Marlien and Phillip Gillis. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In Olive's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
