He was predeceased by: his parents, Philmore Hanley and Treva Hanley (Harris); his wife Brenda "Ellen" Hanley (Faloon); and his siblings, Edna, Lorraine, Clark, Farren and Eldon.
He is survived by: his children, Maureen Smith (Terry) of Back Bay, Jody Hanley (Penny) of Bonny River and Roddie Hanley (Ronda) of Saint John; his grandchildren, Shane Smith (Jessica), Lindsay Smith, Madeline Jordan (Terrance), Cassandra Hanley (Neil) and Cyndey Logan (Jake); his great grandchildren, Connor, Cole, Charlotte and Evelyn; his siblings, Marla McGee (Maurice), Debbie Hanley (George), Twila McLaughlin (David), Patricia Hanley, Rhoda Kernighan (Michael), Vickie Mersereau (Kevin), Crystal Parks (Gary), Ross Hanley (Betty), Randall Hanley (Christine), James Hanley (Edith), Murvin Matheson (Peggy) and Bedford Matheson (Brenda); and his close friends, Gordon and Joyce James. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
