It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Joseph Babineau (St George, New Brunswick), who passed away on November 23, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Babineau and Margaret Babineau (Bourque); his former wife Hilda; and his siblings, Hilaire and Eileen Bradford.
He is survived by: his wife Margo Babineau (Porter) of Pocologan; his children, Joseph of Pennfield and Cathy Dugas (Billy) of Blacks Harbour, NB; his stepchildren, Amanda Porter of Pennfield, NB and Nicky Porter (Cheryl Barker) of Bonny River, NB; his granddaughters, Mandy Hatt (Joel) of Utopia, NB and Chloe Quinlin; his great grandchild Kennedy Hatt; his grandson Trent Dugas; his stepgranddaughters, Trinity and Isabel Porter; and his siblings, Luke Babineau (Linda) of Seeleys Cove, NB, Allen Babineau of Blacks Harbour, NB, Joan Cummings (Terry) of Norton, NB, Helen Hill (Robert) of Blacks Harbour, NB, Leona Cook (Glenroy) of Pennfield, NB, Rose Johnson (Donald) of Sussex, NB, Lillian Shanklin (Stephen) of St. Martins, NB and Dianne Sonier (Aldoria) of Blacks Harbour, NB. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Leon's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
