He was predeceased by: his parents, F. Eva McVicar (Kinney) and Harold John McVicar; and his brothers, Roger Allen McVicar and Wayne Eugene McVicar. He is survived by: his wife Karen McVicar of St George; his children, Jodie Smith (Michael) of Quispamsis and Shane McVicar (Lisa) of Gooderham, ON; his stepdaughter Brittany Hood of Fredericton; his siblings, William McVicar (Betty) of Calais Me, John McVicar (Eleanor) of Markham, ON, Diane Gillespie-Bowman (Bill) of St Stephen and Linda Babineau (Luke) of Seeleys Cove; his grandchildren, Gregor, Nathan Smith, Aidan Justason, Tessa, Abby McVicar, Jackson Hood and Hudson Allen-Hood; his nieces and nephews, Ann Banks-Markey, Wayne Babineau, Tammy Cooke, Derek Bowman, Mark McVicar, Jennifer McVicar-Girard, Aaron McVicar and Yancy Erskine; and his close friends, Glen Leland, Wade McVicar and Gary Janes.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 40 (4 New St, St. George, NB E5C3N8).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. George and Area Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
