He was predeceased by: his parent Bert Cronkhite; his brothers, Bert Brooks and Dwight O'Donnell; and his nieces, Jessica, Layla and Madison.

He is survived by: his parent Rose Brooks (O'Donnell); his children, Misty Brooks (Cregg), Mary Brooks (Jason), Dana Stairs (Miranda) and Danielle Stairs (Katie); his grandchildren, Ashleigh, Mya, Jase, Dakota, Gabriella, Kassandra, Kendra, Kiaunna, Keirra-Lee and Charlie; and his siblings, Donald Brooks (Gail), Floyd Cronkhite (Kim), Shawn Cronkhite (Patti), Doug O'Donnell, Susan Miller, Patricia Byram (Mike), Beverley Davenport (Ronald), Nina Brooks (Robert), Valerie Gaunce (Seth), Sheila Keetch (Kevin) and Marilyn Cronkhite. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
