He is survived by: his parent Astley Lyons; his wife Marjorie; his son Troy Lyons Oak (Susy Lanteigne); his mother Helen Lyons (Ward); his sister Rowena Braysford St (Steve); and his son Johnnie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and is predeceased by his father.

A brief service will held at a later date at the community cemetery in South Tetagouche, N.B. For those who wish, charitable contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, the SPCA or charity of choice.
