He is survived by: his parent Shirley Hughes (Decoste); his wife Patricia Hughes (Hooper) of South Esk; his children, Wendy (Kevin Vandine) of South Esk, Stephanie (Joshua Sherrard) of Sunny Corner, John (Crystal) of For MacMurray, Ben (Jen) of South Esk and Matthew (Danielle) of Moncton; his brother Michael (Joanne) of Rothsay; and his grandchildren, John Edward, Tony Hughes, Taya Hughes, Rylie Vandine, Jared Vandine, Rachael Sherrard, Ethan Sherrard and Avery Hughes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
