He was predeceased by: his parents, Murray Mercer and Helen "Nellie" Mercer (Marks); and his wife Patricia. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer "Mercer" Thorne of Summerfield, Ryan Mercer (Chantal) of Armstrong, BC and Sean Mercer of Smiths Creek; his grandchildren, Corey, Samantha Thorne, Morgan, Mikayla Faucett, Kristopher and Brianna; his great grandchildren, Blair, Liam, Millie and Fallon; and his siblings, Carolyn Webster of Sussex, Rose Arsenault (Francis) of Shediac, Wanda Morrell of Sussex and Russell Mercer (Hilda) of Calgary, AB.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
