He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphée Melanson and Bella Melanson (LeBlanc); his wife Marie Melanson (Roy); and his siblings, Aldéric, Léonide and Annette Cormier (Melanson).
He is survived by: his siblings, Jean-Marie (Anna) of Shediac Bridge and Lorraine Maillet of Moncton.
