He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Hunter and Gwendolyn Hunter (MacDonald); his children, Amanda and Cleve; his granddaughter Ashley; and his brother Gordon.

He is survived by: his wife Joanne Hunter of Shediac; and his children, Anita MacDonald (Jerome) of Boston, MA, Clay Hunter (Aline) of Haute, Aboujagane and Lisa Clements (Reginald) of Shediac. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers.
