He was predeceased by: his parents, Fidèle Richard and Odélie Richard (Girouard); his wife Rita Poirier; and his siblings, Alice, Bertha, Leonide and Roger.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ida Bourque (Alcide) of Cocagne and Maria LeBlanc (Armand) of Moncton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
