He was predeceased by: his parents, Auguste Gautreau and Emma Gautreau (Belliveau); his former wife Jean (Akerley); and his siblings, Charles, Louis, Arthur, Henri, Joseph, Emile, Aldéric, Edgar, Clarence, Anna, Yvonne and Irène.

He is survived by: his wife Antoinette Gautreau (Bourque); his children, David of Connecticut, USA and Karen of Holyoke, Mass; his granddaughter Emma-Rose Huse; and his great grandchildren, Jonah and Isaac. He is also survived by his extended family, including his stepdaughters and stepsons; also by his nieces and nephews.
