He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Smith and Mabel Smith (Nickerson); his wife Connie (Smith); and his siblings, Clayton, Douglas, Nelson, Elsie and Doris.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shirley Morrison of Sussex and Carol Nauss (Kevin) of Boundary Creek; his grandchildren, Courtney Hearn (Scott) of Timberlea, NS, Michael Morrison (Emma) of Sussex and Lydia Nauss (Paul) of Boundary Creek; his great grandchildren, Joseph, Nicole and Georgia; his sister Audrey Currie (Johnny); his siblings-in-law, Sterling Gilmore and Irene (Barrett); and his friends, Elva, Amos Tucker, Bennett and Irma McCauley.
