He was predeceased by: his parent Nathaniel Steeves; his wife Ruth; his grandsons, Todd Buchanan and Kevin Haevens; and his siblings, Byrd, Violet, Hazel, Arleen, Seymour, Reginald, Dawson, Murl, Ralph and George.
He is survived by: his parent Ina Steeves (Bannister); his children, Dianna (late Victor Armes) of Fawcett Hill, Betty (Dale Ward) of Salisbury, Billy (Marie) of Caissie Cape, Robert (Debbie) of Fawcett Hill and Andrew of Ontario; his grandchildren, Bonnie, Sheldon, Stacey, Susan, Robbie, Trevor, Tyler, Ashley and Shannon; and his sister Erma Thorburn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
