He was predeceased by: his parents, Gonzague Caissie and Imelda Caissie; his sons, Paul and Claude; and his siblings, Olea, Stella, Carmella, Clarence, Léo, Joseph, Omer, Blair and Roméo.

He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Caissie of Bouctouche; his daughters-in-law, Anne-Marie of Ste-Anne and Gladys of Moncton; his siblings, Emery Caissie (Jeannine) of Fitchburg, Ernest Caissie (Carmella) of Moncton, Gisèle LeBlanc (Normand) of Bouctouche and Germaine of Waltham, Mass; and his grandchildren, Marcel, Stéphane, Vicky, Nadine and Tina. He is also survived by his eleven great-grandchildren; also by his several cousins, nieces and nephews.
