He was predeceased by: his spouse Nicole Cormier; his parents, Jude Bastarache and Jeannita Bastarache (LeBlanc); his grandson Aaron; and his brother Donald.

He is survived by: his children, Tina Cormier (Rhéal Mills) and Chris Bastarache; his grandchildren, Peter, Nathaniel and Sebastien; his great grandchildren, Jaxon and Rylie; his siblings, Julia Bastarache (Augustin Cormier) of Bouctouche, Marie Richard (Michel) of Sainte-Marie, Linda LeBlanc of Saint-Antoine and Elie of Montreal; his nieces, Jackie and Debbie; and his significant other Colleen. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
