He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean-Baptist Babin and Bertha Babin (Vautour); and his siblings, Gilberte, George Babin (Noella) and Bruno Babin (late Louise).

He is survived by: his wife Mildred Babin (Steeves) of Saint-Louis; his daughter Bernardine Slack (late Peter); his grandson Scott David Slack; his siblings, Violette Cormier (Normand), Blanche Craig (Vinnie) and Hermel Babin (Nancy); and his nieces and nephews, Monique, Rachel, Martha, Kim, Nicole, Cary, Kevin, Randy and Michael.
