He was predeceased by: his parents, Donat Poitras and Leonie Poitras (Pelletier); and his brothers, Lorne (Patsy), Gilbert (late Shirley), William (late Blanche) and Euclide (Mona).
He is survived by: his siblings, Camille of St-Leonard-Parent, Hermel (Caroline) of Fredericton, Ginette (late Bruce) of Ottawa, Viola (Gerry) of Ottawa, Claudine (Yvon) of Gatineau and Mildred (late Joachim) of Grand Falls. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
