He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann McCarthy (Christensen) and Arnold McCarthy; his grandparents, Leoma, Nellie McCarthy, Neils and Chara Christensen; and his uncle Bernard McCarthy.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie Sirois; his children, Kylee Ann McCarthy and Dylan Michael McCarthy (Jessica Witte); his brothers, Corey (Ursula) of Toronto, Larry of Calgary, Troy (Joan) of Toronto, Patrick of Quebec City, Todd of Toronto, Tony of Saint-André and Jody (Enas) of Tailand, Special; and his uncle Farrell McCarthy (Edna) of Miramichi. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
