He is survived by: his wife Mary Bate (Ramsey Ross); his son Michael John Bate (Janet) of Halifax, NS; and his grandchildren, Kyle Ross Barter (Erin), Adam Bate, Heidi Rodgers, Krista Rodgers, Devin-Rae Foran (Darcy) and Kayla Barter (Travis). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
