She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Evans (Peacock) and George Henry Evans; her sons, Wayne and Grant; and her siblings, Robert Evans (Bob), Constance Cromwell, Florence Cox, Margaret Souther and Doris Cobham.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon A. Matheson; and her daughters, Judith Irvine (Stanley) of Saint John, NB and Janet Matheson of Saint John, NB. She is also survived by eight grand-children, 11 great grand-children, and several nieces and nephews.
Donations in Violet's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of the charity of the donor's choice.
