He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Akerley and Violet Akerley (Webster); and his sister Louise Forbes. He is survived by: his wife Judith Akerley (Goldsworthy); his children, Richard Akerley, Charlene Grant (Richard) and Sherry Pope (Tony); his grandchildren, Courtney (Chris), Britney (Jarret), Stephanie (Greg), Tyler (Catherine), Chelsey, Connor (Teagan) and Cameron (Anna); his great grandchildren, Madelynn, MacKenna, Allie, Brinley, Olivia, Marley, Kendal, Andi and Violet; and his sister Eleanor Armstrong-Haley. He is also survived by many family members and friends.
