She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cunningham and Beatrice Cunningham (Ryan); and her husband Joseph McGovern. She is survived by: her daughter Jo Anne Kimball (Steven) of Dartmouth, NS; and her brothers, Keith Cunningham of Saint John, NB and Bryan Cunningham (Lucille) of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and numerous beloved friends.
In lieu of flowers, Val's family suggests that memorial donations may be made to The Joshua Group, Romero House, or any charity of the donor's choice.
