He was predeceased by: his parents, James Edward and Mary Della Ackerson (Martin); and his siblings, Donna Orr, James Edward "Sonny" Ackerson and Frederick Ackerson.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Ackerson (Kristine) of Quispamsis and Mark Ackerson (Cassandra) of Saint John; his siblings, Karen Jones, Elaine Perry (John), Clifford Ackerson (Pearl) and Robert Ackerson; his sister-in-law Mary-Anne Ackerson; and his grandchildren, Cole, Cora, Marleigh and Evander. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
